Once there were four girls who went
to school every day by car.
Their parents took turns driving them all to
school.

"Oh, that's easy," said Susan.
"We'll just tell our teacher that my mother's car had a flat tire."
All the
girls agreed; it was the perfect excuse.

class an hour later, the math test had
finished.

you late?" he asked.
The girls all started talking at once. Finally Susan
